I did a ride along with an old buddy of mine who's now a cop. I kinda thought that these type of calls were pretty rare, until he responded to a 911 call for a 25 CENT dispute on a credit card reciept from a gas station.
I later asked him what about some sort of law against 911 abuse, something to that effect. His response? 'It's not against the law to be stupid'.
I then asked him what was the dumbest call he ever took.
'Well, this one time this lady called 911 for a 25 cent charge dispute from a gas station...'
Heh,

My luck, I guess.
That was too funny - reminded me of the stories my Aunt Dotty told when she was a dispatcher in NM.
