I have been tagged by A Voice In The Night with a meme and against my better judgement I have said I would participate. Here are the rules if you decide to play along:
1) Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2) Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3) Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4) Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
*********************************************************************************

1. I used to drive a taxi cab. I dispatched cabs for ten years, then tried driving one. I lasted about a year or so, until I was robbed at gunpoint and locked in the trunk of the cab. Figured there was a reason I survived and didn't want to press my luck, so I got out of the business.

2. I have a fear of heights. I can overcome it when necessary, but you won't catch me riding any roller coasters. Flying doesn't bother me, as long as it's in a 747 or something similar in size.

3. I quit smoking in 2002. I had been smoking for 28 years. Best thing I've ever done for myself.

4. I have a great love for Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream. YUM!

5. I am the daughter of a milkman!

6. I wanted to grow up to be a writer. I'll let you know how it turns out when I grow up.

7. I dislike email chain letters, brussell sprouts and people who don't take advantage of the priveledges our country has to offer...such as an EDUCATION, and the RIGHT TO VOTE.

  1. We have three things in common, FF (maybe more!): the fear of heights, quitting smoking (although I'm only a year an a half quit), and Cherry Garcia!

Congrats on the smoking cessation that is a big accomplishment!

  3. Yay! I am a quitter too! Only 2+ years but best thing I ever did too! Also, my name is KVegas911 and I am a Ben and Jerry's-a-holic. *sob!*

  4. "The daughter of a milkman" that intigues me. My dad delivered Tasty Bread on weekends - a side job, but it kept us in bread and pastries. It's too bad he was not a milkman because we drank milk at my house like most people drink water.

  5. Buck- do you have trouble flying? I think my fear is more of the rising and descending.... once I'm up... I love the view!

Hammer & KV- My daughter was key in getting me to quit. She nagged, begged, did everything she could... at age 11. I found out last month that she has been smoking. I'm heartbroken. Now it's my turn to try and save HER life.
Lou - The benefits of home delivery! I remember him working many hours, but the tips at Christmas time probably kept my family from the poorhouse. I loved getting up in the back of the truck and picking that "one" frozen ice cream treat! We had an insulated milk box outside, where the milk was put (glass bottles).

To all- I think we might need to have a get-together of a sort - A Ben & Jerry's Convention so to speak! We could send a note to HQ to request they start organizing it!

Not at all... I love to fly. Or used to, until flying became the 21st century equivalent of Greyhound where the clientèle's concerned (present company excepted, of course).

No, it's heights I'm afraid of. Climbing used to be part of my job description during my early days in the USAF... and I left my fingerprints embedded in cold steel and aluminum radar antennae all over the freakin' world as a result.
