A Stop On the Way To Work

Twilight falls,
bringing a silence
that seeps deep into
the core of my being.
Preparing for what lies ahead,
breathing in the night air,
gently letting go of the sun's final rays,
the moon waits for darker skies.

  1. Living in a resort area has its ups and downs. The ups are the beauty and peacefullness. The downs are the tourists who stop the peacefullness.

  2. I can't decide which is better... the photo or the poem. I have some slight idea of what you do for a living, Fire Fox... so I'm gonna go with the poem.

  3. That was cool. I love that picture it's beautiful!!

In case you didn’t know, I found your blog through DadGoneMad. I've posted a complete list of everyone who left their blog link on his Big Big Stars post a while back in a post of my own in April called Blog Rolling With My Homies over on my blog, so if you want to see it come on over and sit a spell. I don't bite..…that hard anyway!

If you did know just overlook this and pretend I said something funny since my brain feels like mush from trying to comment on all 217 on the list because somebody had the bright idea to challenge me to it!!

  4. Lou - the traffic is the hardest to deal with, long lines, crowded beaches, higher prices... but we deal because it is necessary to our survival! The tourist dollars are what sustain alot of folks thru the winter months here.
    Buck and Jim - thanks!
Dee Dee - I have a copy of the list on my desk top and am trying to work my way thru it... it's ENORMOUS! Thanks for stopping by!
